This involves adequate land clearance, excavation, ground compaction, and foundation material selection. Base materials include both compacted stone and an asphalt base, each of which has its distinct formula.
A thin layer of liquid asphalt binder is sprayed over the surface to prepare it for paving. This helps in strengthening the link between the new pavement and the subgrade. Then, the mixture is compacted using asphalt rollers and placed down using an asphalt paver.
